The clock is ticking

Things are really getting excititng! We are just waiting on the stamp of approval from the ICBF - the Colombian Government - and then we prepare for travel! While we wait we are doing some last minute arranging. We have Nicolas' room painted and are decorating it now. Diana's room has been painted for some time but we are finishing the decorating. We are doing some organizing of the house in general. The kids are described as energetic and outgoing. With that in mind, we have to be prepared. These past 23 years we have lived pretty loose in the sense of our time and life. But no more. If we are not on top of it all we will be behind it all. So, we are trying to organize and arrange things so that we can stay in control even with two monkeys running around.

So, when do we go? Soon I hope. In fact, Diana's birthday is November 8 and I hope we can be there for it. In order for that to happen we have to have some movement in the next week. We are surrendering it all to God's hands - that is the best place for it to be.

This is such wonderful new for you all! Hopefully you will get to go to Colombia this year.

Also, it is very important to your kids that you do keep in contact with their other siblings. Our kids have another sibling we could not adopt (this sibling was not in the care of ICBF). Our oldest talks about this sibling more and more lately, even though this sibling hasn't been seen in about 2-4 years. Keeping in touch with siblings will be very important to your kids.
