Here is how things are progressing: Some time ago our agency was asked to find three homes for six siblings ranging from 3 to 12 years old. They have been deemed adoptable for two years now, and it was decided that their best bet was to be split up - however, they wanted them placed in homes who would let them see each other occasionally, and interact with each other as they grew up. We were asked about a 7 year old boy and his 9 year old sister. I must admit, they are a perfect match for Mary and me - extroverted, adventurous, a bit mischevious. We told our agency we would do it! But, the only hold up was that two of the siblings did not have a home yet. Now, we are told that all siblings have homes! The other four are to be adopted by two families that are related to each other. They will live in the same town, basically as cousins. So, now we are waiting to find out when the Colombian government will release the kids to us. As soon as we are given the green light, we will go get them.
Stay tuned... it's about to get interesting!
